Swirled Paint Ornaments
I spent last weekend helping my dad decorate the family tree at his house, an event we haven't shared in years. Although I enjoyed our family's well crafted ornaments, each shiny object an emblem to the year it was made, I feel we can do better. I like this new take on passing down family tradition; clear ornaments with swirled tempera paint. It's this easy:
Squirt paint into the globe. If the paint is clumpy add a few drops of water. Place your thumb over the opening of the ornament and gently shake the globe in a pattern (circle, side to side, etc.). Don't forget to pour out the left over paint.
