2015 character hand turkeys

2015 character hand turkeys

Starting Veteran's Day I asked all my students to create a character hand turkey that best represent them; maybe it's what they want to be when they grow up, a story book character, a super hero, or something or someone that make them feel most grateful. Students were encouraged to talk to each other about their choice and give their art a title. Here's a few that made me laugh, pause, or ask questions.

If you have little ones over this Thanksgiving think about leaving out a fresh box of crayons and paper and ask them to draw a hand turkey character. You might just have a new work of art for your fridge that stays up all year.

Happy Thanksgiving:)
