#NAEA2017 NYC: Day 2 @theBrooklynChildren'sMuseum
In a historic residential area of Brooklyn is a voluminous red and yellow structure, offering "boundless opportunities for sensory play and exploration that encourage children’s social, emotional and physical development." (BCM) The Brooklyn Children's Museum opened in 1929 as the world's first museum for kids and doubled in size with renovations ending in 2008. As I walked around the dizzying array of pint-size options to see and do (iguanas, animal skeletons, water play area) children near me were lost in the magic of play, and so I did too. Well, I tried.
I bought a few books...
Then, I got a real pizza...and lemon meringue cookies:)
