#NAEA2017 NYC: Day 4 Exhibit Hall @HiltonHotel
One of the reasons why I go to the NAEA conference is it draws some of the best and latest tools for art educators to play with and experience. Yes, some booths are outdated, yes, most seem to cater to the newbs, but it also reenergizes art sharing between educators. After ten years of teaching, I gravitate toward the tried and true materials. Only on occasion will I experiment with different processes based on how much will students benefit from this new lesson and if the cost outweighs the waste. Pinterest is great and I use it all the time, but nothing beats handling project examples and materials that are backed by best practices from the teachers that use them. I took lots of pictures but I've posted only the ones I'd like to build on in my own practice.
